What happens during this body sculpting procedure?
The Evolve Transform treatment is non-surgical, non-invasive, and hands free, and is effective for stubborn areas of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. A Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will assist you with making a plan, and ultimately set up treatment. After the applicators are properly attached, treatment will range from 30-45 minutes. Expect moderate heating, as well as muscle contractions! Each applicator constantly monitors and updates its temperature in real time and the intensity of muscle contractions can be adjusted to your comfort. These features provides you and your practitioner complete control over specific areas. Evolve also has a patient call button. At any time, we can pause and adjust your reatment for comfort and optimal results!
How does this type of body contouring work?
Most of us have areas of fat that just won’t respond to diet and exercise. The TRANSFORM applicator delivers TWO types of energy during the same treatment. This first one is radiofrequency (RF) and the second is electrical muscle stimulation (EMS).
Evolve TRANSFORM body contouring allows for non-invasive, controlled, and precise delivery of RF through the skin and into underlying fat cells. Not only does TRANSFORM shrink adipose tissue, it also promotes collagen contraction and immediate skin tightening (Kist et al. 2007). In addition, continued treatment allows for the formation of additional collagen bundles over time (El-Domyati et al. 2019).
In addition, EMS is delivered to the underlying muscles, causing hypermaximal contractions and giving them a workout while the fat and skin are being treated at the same time. This muscular contraction effect is similar to other devices such as EmSculpt and Cooltone, but unlike those devices, can be administered simultaneously with the fat reducing, skin tightening technology.
How Many body contouring Treatments are recommended?
Since the optimal results of Evolve TRANSFORM vary between individuals, treatment length and frequency will also vary. At Nakatsui DermaSurgery, our nurses are more than happy to help create a personalized plan; ensuring that your goals are identified and achieved! We suggest weekly treatments, with gradual improvements seen within the first 3 weeks. Ideally, plans last anywhere between 6-8 weeks. Although the number of treatments required is more than for Coolsculpting, the cost per treatment is much less and has the added benefits of tightening skin and toning muscle.
How long does it take to see results?
Results from this body contouring technique can start to be seen after the second treatment with maximal results about 3 months following the final treatment.
Can Evolve body sculpting be combined with Coolsculpting?
Evolve body contouring treatments can definitely be combined with Coolsculpting. In fact, just as combination therapy is helpful for other aging skin problems, combination therapy may be the next big thing in body sculpting.
We sometimes will treat a patient with Coolsculpting first to debulk a large area of unwanted fat. However, as cryolipolysis with Coolsculpting does not improve skin laxity and muscle tone, Evolve Transform can fine tune these residual problems and shrink the residual fat.
In some cases, Evolve alone can deliver superior results compared to Coolsculpting alone because it also tightens the skin and improves the silhouette via improved muscular tone.
What post procedure care is recommended?
Fortunately, due to the non-invasive and controlled temperature features of Evolve TRANSFORM, there is no recovery period or downtime associated with this treatment! Patients may notice redness and warmth along the treated areas, which will typically subside within 1-2 hours. Occasionally, there can be some red marks that will last for a few days. Return to normal activities can commence immediately!
There are so many body contouring treatments out there. Which body contouring method is best for me?
This is a really good question. There are so many body contouring methods and it’s hard to tell where you should go for the best result. As with most treatments, you should go to an experienced provider with a good reputation. Another thing to consider is that some people will respond differently than others even though the treatment is the same. For example, Coolsculpting works well for a lot of people but not for everyone. It is helpful to go to a clinic with experience with different methods.
Essentially, there are two non-surgical methods for destroying larger areas of fat. You can either freeze it or heat it. Freezing fat (cryolipolysis) is accomplished with Coolsculpting but there are many different ways to heat fat. You can heat it with laser (e.g. Sculpsure), ultrasound (e.g. UltraShape), electromagnetic technology (e.g. EMSculpt), or radiofrequenncy (e.g. Vanquish, truSculpt, and Evolve body contouring devices).
At Nakatsui DermaSurgery, we are fortunate to have three different modalities: (1) cryolipolysis (i.e. Coolsculpting), as well as (2) radiofrequency and (3) electrical muscle stimulation with the Evolve platform.
Although we have multiple modalities to shrink fat and tighten skin, we know that not all patients are good candidates for non-surgical body contouring. Some patients need liposuction or a tummy tuck to achieve their goals. These body sculpting methods are far more invasive and carry more risk such as infection and scar, but sometimes they are the only real option. You can count on us to tell you if you are a better candidate for surgical management.
The Evolve TITE modality is best suited for reducing skin sagginess. This is accomplished by RF stimulated collagen production; thereby tightening areas of laxity.
Like Evolve TRANSFORM, Evolve TITE is a hands free, non-invasive, and non surgical treatment that utilizes RF technology. Evolve TITE specializes in tightening areas of loose skin, while simultaneously reshaping the body. After creating a customized plan tailored to achieve specific goals; the end result will be a tighter and smoother appearance with absolutely no downtime!
What areas can be treated?
The Evolve TITE features 8 applicators that can be applied simultaneously to several body parts. Common treatment areas include; legs, abdomen, arms, or all at the same time!
How many body sculpting treatments are recommended?
To achieve maximum results, plans should span over a 6 to 8 week period, with treatments occurring weekly. Results are gradual, but will be seen within the first few treatments!
What post procedure care is recommended?
There is no recovery period or downtime associated with treatment. Redness and warmth along treated areas is to be expected, however this will subside within 1-2 hours. Again, return to routine can commence immediately.
The TONE modality is the third and final modality from the Evolve platform by Inmode. It is specifically designed to increase muscle definition and muscle strength.
In addition to TRANSFORM and TITE, Evolve TONE completes the trifecta of hands free body remodelling treatment. EMS or Electrical Muscle Stimulation is the key technology used within the TONE treatment. Involuntary contractions are elicited by the applicators, toning and building muscle fibres. The end result leaves you with a much more toned and defined physique!

What post procedure care is recommended?
Recovery periods and downtime is non-existent when it comes to TONE, or any of the Evolve treatments. The hands-free, non-invasive nature of the machine allows for return to normal activities immediately following treatment. Redness and warmth can be expected, but will subside within 1 to 2 hours. Since this treatment directly stimulates and tones muscle soreness may experienced. However, this soreness will never exceed that of a productive workout session.
